The beginning of 2024 marked a major milestone in the life of Planners & Engineers Collaborative (PEC+). Besides rounding out  another profitable year, PEC has turned 60 years old.

60 Years of PEC

This memorable anniversary was marked with a grand company-wide celebration that included awards, a world-class dinner, casino games and an employee-funded donation to Veteran’s Empowerment Organization, a non-profit that PEC has supported over the years.

As PEC+ celebrates 60 years, we reflect on our journey thus far with gratitude and cherish these notable milestones…

1964

In 1964, PEC opened its first office location in Atlanta on Piedmont Rd. offering surveying and engineering. Later the same year, partners collaborated to add civil engineering and landscape architecture services to its offerings.

1970s

PEC grew rapidly through the early 1970s, working with POST Properties to make the concept of the “garden community” a reality.

1980s

Enter the 80s with a fast growing national economy leading to a growth in apartment development in the Atlanta area. PEC supported clients like Lincoln Properties, POST, Trammel Crow, Pope and Land Real Estate, and Atlantic Reality.

1990s

PEC diversified it services due to slower development in the 90s. In addition, the 2000 dot-com bubble and the September 11 attack on the World Trade Center contributed to slowing development.

2004

In 2004, PEC moved its main office location  to Technology Park, in Peachtree Corners, GA. It remains PEC’s main office today.

2008

PEC survived the 2008 economic collapse by tapping into its already diversified services including mixed-use projects like the Global Forum and the Gwinnett Braves Stadium.

2020

During the COVID-19 Pandemic of 2020, PEC stayed flexible and continued to provide exceptional solutions during the unprecedented circumstances. In addition, PEC leadership took this time to develop a new company logo, renovate the entire main office, and officially rebrand as PEC+ adding the “Plus” to the PEC brand to further market the wide range of solutions PEC provides.

2023

PEC+  enters 2023,  embracing growth with  new office locations in Griffin, GA and Cobb  County, including a beautiful office location in the Battery  Atlanta overlooking the Braves stadium and the city of Atlanta to the south.

Over the last 60 years, PEC+’s track record of successful projects and client satisfaction suggests a future of growth and prosperity.
